Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful moms out there! A special prayer for all the moms who get their Mother's Day wishes from Heaven.
This blog is to chronicle our journey with our baby who was diagnosed with ADPKD in utero.

Sticky was born. The 20th of every month is a reminder of what should have been. I thought it would get easier with time, but it really doesn't. Time helps with getting on with your life and functioning like a (semi) normal person, but time doesn't lessen the pain of what's missing.
Love you, little guy!

One year ago...
Around 9 AM February 28th, 2011, Jon and I learned that our sweet Sticky Bean had enlarged, cystic kidneys. The memory of that day will never fade.
We love you and miss you sweet baby boy!

Our Rex Molly Bear!
We got a great surprise in the mail today - our precious Molly Bear for Rex arrived! He is so cute and weighs 9lbs 2oz. Rex was a big boy! The bear maker had seen our blog and gave Rex's bear a very special superman cape! He is absolutely perfect. Please check out Molly Bears when you get a chance. They are a great organization who bring joy to angel mommies.
06/27/13 - I was reading through the blog today and I wanted to add something to this entry. The day we received our Rex bear was the same day we got our positive pregnancy test for Boogie. Rex was ready to watch over his little brother from Day 1. :-)

Art Exhibit by Stephanie Cole
Back in October I held a balloon release in affiliation with Sweet Pea Project (www.sweetpeaproject.org)
Earlier this month Stephanie Cole (the founder of Sweet Pea Project) held an art exhibit, "five," at the Mulberry Art Studios. Here is what she said about the community reception that was hosted by Sweet Pea Project:
"it all unfolded perfectly...the artwork, the writings, the gently played guitar, the poetry reading, the community expressions wall, the glow of over 200 candles, each one bearing the name of a deeply loved child...it all came together to create something beautiful and honest and important and powerful and sacred."
You can experience a bit for yourself by taking a few minutes to view this video, featuring artwork and candles from the exhibit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfK3u5C1egY

Six months...
Happy 6 month (should-be) birthday to our sweet Sticky Bean! We all miss you little buddy, but know that celebrations in heaven must be 100 times more fun than on Earth.
